PachaGreens brings ecologically responsible and high quality (micro) vegetables closer to the general public, always looking for innovative systems and sustainable growing techniques.

The name ‘PachaGreens’ comes from‘Pachamama’ which means ‘Mother Earth’ in South American Indian language. The start-up is therefore committed to preserving Mother Earth and is always looking for new ways to work with her.

The first year, PachaGreens focused on growing microgreens. Microgreens are like baby plants, bursting with flavor and 10 to 30 times more nutritious than the final vegetable!

“We believe that microgreens are too healthy to be used only as decoration on a plate. That’s why, in addition to deliveries for the hospitality industry, we are working on affordable solutions for individuals.”

The PachaGreens micro vegetable mixtures are available at delicatessen CRU, De Voedselteams, Boeren & Buren and several Delhaizes.

Now PachaGreens is fully prepared for the next challenge; starting a large Aquaponic project. This is the creation of a closed circuit where the waste products of fish are converted into food for plants.

The start-up is also working on a vegetable garden concept with edible flowers, herbs and special tomatoes. So lots of plans for a more sustainable and tasteful planet!
