Charlotte Brys works passionate in the older adult sector for 10 years.
After graduating in (Msc in the clinical psychology (2011) & Msc in management, policy and care in gerontlogy (2012) at the VUB) she worked one year as a dementia reference person in two residential care centers. She also spent 6 months in care during this period to have a real experience on the workfloor.
In 2013, she had the opportunity to work for the department of Gerontology (VUB) as a scientific researcher withing the Care Living Lab programma, a project where different innovations were tested to live as independently as possible at home as long as possible. Today, she is still connected with the department of Gerontology.
Futhermore, Charlotte started in 2017 as lifecoach at Triamant Group. She gains both experience on the floor and policy. Today, she is as well involved as coordinator in various innovation projects.
In addition, she started in 2020 also on a therapeutic level. As a psychologist, gerontologist and integrative psychotherapist she sees weekly older adults for psychotherapy from her own practice.
At least, she carries out projects around positive and realistic ageing, titled: ‘getting (g)older’.
