Bart De Waele
Mentor of these start-ups:

Bart De Waele

CEO Duke & Grace

“After 10 years in a large Belgian bank learning what I wanted to do and what I didn’t, I took the leap into self-employment in 2006. I built Duke & Grace (formerly known as Netlash/Wise) into a leading digital agency.”

Bart believes that entrepreneurship is the driver of our prosperity, and that it should be supported. He takes on the role of mentor because start-ups keep him on his toes. “If I can do my part as a sounding board and critical questioner, I’m happy to do so.”

Bart De Waele will pay particular attention to start-ups that are sufficiently pragmatic to adapt to reality without losing sight of the end goal. In terms of team identity, he seeks the right mix of stubbornness and willingness to listen.

“Helping start-ups keeps me on my toes.”
